Acceptance of Order These conditions shall govern the terms upon which We shall supply the Products and if applicable, the Services, so that any conditions contained in or referred to in Your purchase order shall not bind The Fire Alarm Store unless We expressly agree in writing to vary these conditions. An order is not accepted until The Fire Alarm Store sends written acknowledgement to the Purchaser, or part or all of the products ordered are dispatched. The Fire Alarm Store reserves the right not to terminate or withdraw any order for whatever reason it sees fit, without explanation to the Purchaser.
Product & Information Alterations The Fire Alarm Store reserves the right to withdraw or make alterations to its products without notice or liability. We reserve the right to substitute goods within your order with goods of an equivalent nature. If you do not wish to accept the substituted goods then the products must returned to us within 7 days of receipt, in line with our Returns and Cancellations Policy.
Returns and Cancellations Policy A purchaser who cancels an order or who receives an order and wishes to return it, should inform us in writing within 7 days of the delivery date and we will arrange collection. You should ensure the goods are properly prepared for collection; The Fire Alarm Store reserves the right to make a 20% restocking charge for these goods. The Fire Alarm Store reserves the right to make a 20% restocking charge for any goods which are not returned in mint condition or to refuse to accept such goods, at is sole discretion. The Fire Alarm Store also reserves the right to make a charge for collecting goods from your premises in circumstances where they are not defective but you have cancelled your order. In addition the original carriage charge may not be refunded. Your statutory rights are not affected. The Fire Alarm Store will refund the purchaser within 28 days of receiving the goods, subject to inspection and them being returned 'as new' in re-sellable condition. The Purchaser will be liable for any damage to the goods, however caused, and The Fire Alarm Store shall withhold the amount it deems necessary from the Purchaser's refunded amount. All charges mentioned above are subject to VAT at the current rate.
Delivery and Risk Orders can only be taken for delivery to addresses in mainland Britain. Deliveries to Northern Ireland and The Highlands and Islands of Scotland will be subject to additional cost quoted at time of order. We are not currently able to deliver to Southern Ireland or outside mainland Britain. Unless otherwise specified delivery shall be deemed to take place when the products are delivered to your premises, or alternative delivery address as specified by the Purchaser. A charge may be made for delivery. Any such charge will be detailed at the point of order, though this may be subject to change. Should this delivery charge change the Purchaser will be informed in writing before the goods are dispatched. Should the price be unacceptable to the Purchaser, The Fire Alarm Store will accept a written cancellation of the order, with no penalty to the Purchaser. All products dispatched by The Fire Alarm Store will be delivered by a method of transport selected by The Fire Alarm Store in the absence of contrary agreement with the Purchaser. Products are at risk of the Purchaser from the time of dispatch and the Purchaser is then liable for the invoice value. Claims from incorrect delivery shortages, damage to goods in transit or other discrepancies notified in writing to The Fire Alarm Store and the carrier within seven days of delivery may be considered. Claims for non-delivery will also be considered if notified to The Fire Alarm Store within 3 days of the date of dispatch shown on the invoice. The Fire Alarm Store is not liable for any loss or damage to products returned for repair or credit unless The Fire Alarm Store agrees to repair or replace them under warranty and the Purchaser sends separate written advice to The Fire Alarm Store at the date of dispatch and is not negligent in the packing, addressing or choice of transport for the products returned. The Purchaser agrees to pay for any loss, or extra cost incurred by The Fire Alarm Store through the Purchaser's instructions, or lack of instructions, or through failure, or delay in taking delivery, or through any act or default on the part of the Purchaser, its servants, agents or employees.
Secondary Damage The Fire Alarm Store is not liable for any damage to property or consequential loss, e.g. loss of product, loss of profit, loss of goods in store which arises by defects or delays in delivery of products irrespective of the cause, including faulty manufacture.
Disclaimers The Fire Alarm Store reserves the right to change, modify, remove or substitute without notice any information shown on the web site from time to time. Prices and availability are subject to change. Pricing The price payable by the Purchaser is the list price prevailing at the time of dispatch less any agreed discount. The Fire Alarm Store is entitled to alter list prices and discounts without notice prior to dispatch. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, The Fire Alarm Store's prices do not include VAT, insurance, carriage, packaging and administration costs which, where applicable will be added to the total amount due. Payment of the Total Contract Price (plus VAT) is to be made with Your Order either by Credit Card or Cheque. Invoices will not be raised prior to the date of delivery. Your order will be confirmed by e-mail and the goods dispatched once your credit card or cheque payment has been accepted. All transactions are to be paid for in UK Sterling currency.
Delivery Dates - UK only All delivery dates specified on this site are Monday to Friday only. No deliveries are made on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Warranty THIS WARRANTY IS IN ADDITION TO AND DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS IF YOU DEAL AS A CONSUMER. All Our Products are guaranteed for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of delivery against defects in design, materials or workmanship. If there are any such defects then We shall, at Our option and expense, repair or replace the defective products free of charge provided that the products have not become defective for any other reason, such as accidental damage or a failure to use or install them in accordance with our/manufacturers instructions. For fire extinguishers only: If You take out an service agreement with Us on or before the date of delivery, for servicing Your extinguishers in accordance with BS5306 : Part 3, We will extend Our guarantee, subject to the terms set out in condition the paragraph above, to a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery. Please note that service items such as safety pins, O rings, seals, refills et cetera are excluded from this guarantee. Terms of Payment Invoiced prices are strictly net and unless otherwise agreed in writing are payable at the point of order and before the goods are dispatched. Transfer of Ownership The Fire Alarm Store remains the owner of the products until it receives full payment of the price invoiced. Until such time as ownership in the products passes to the Purchaser, The Fire Alarm Store is entitled at any time to require the Purchaser to return them to The Fire Alarm Store and if the Purchaser defaults, to enter the premises where the products are stored and repossess them. The Purchaser is not entitled to pledge or charge in any way the products which remain owned by The Fire Alarm Store and if the Purchaser does so all monies owing by the Purchaser to The Fire Alarm Store shall immediately become due and payable without prejudice to any other right or remedy of The Fire Alarm Store
Whole Agreement No alteration or variation of the Agreement shall have effect unless in writing and signed by the Purchaser and a Director or the Company Secretary on behalf of The Fire Alarm Store.
Force Majeure We shall make every effort to comply with our obligations under the terms of the Contract but we cannot be held responsible for circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control. If We are unable to perform Our obligations under the Contract by reason of any such force majeure event, then We shall give You notice in writing of the circumstances giving rise to it, and after a period of three (3) months either of us shall have the right to terminate the Contract by giving notice in writing to the other without any liability except for sums accrued due under the Contract.
Termination If either of us shall be in breach of our obligations under the Contract then the other may by seven (7) days notice in writing terminate this Contract. We shall be entitled to terminate the Contract immediately without notice if You shall enter into liquidation, receivership, administrative receivership or You make any arrangement or composition with creditors, or if You are an individual, any petition or receiving order in bankruptcy shall be presented or made against You. If either of us shall terminate the Contract in accordance with its terms then such termination shall be without prejudice to our respective accrued rights and obligations.
Amendments or Cancellations The Contract may be amended or cancelled by You in accordance with the provisions set out in these conditions or, with Our written approval, or upon terms which indemnify Us against any losses including loss of profit or additional costs resulting there from.
Assignment The Contract is personal to You and or Your company and may not be assigned or otherwise transferred without Our written consent.
Governing Law This Contract shall be governed, construed and shall take effect in accordance with the laws of England, and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Statutory Rights Nothing in this Agreement shall affect the statutory rights of a consumer.
Trademarks The trademarks, logos and service marks ("Marks") displayed on this Web Site are the property of The Fire Alarm Store or other third parties. Users are not permitted to use these Marks without the prior written consent of The Fire Alarm Store or such third party which may own the Mark.
Transmission of Personal Data Except as required by law, The Fire Alarm Store will maintain the confidentiality of all personal information transmitted to The Fire Alarm Store by the user.
